Recently, its students were chosen among candidates from all over the Philippines as exchange students in the United States’ Fusion of the Arts Exchange Program and Study of the United States Institutes for Scholars and in ASEAN-China Youth Camp in Thailand, Myanmar, and China. Its students have also been winning in different local and national competitions and have been serving as top student officers of different recognized organizations in the University. These are complemented by learner-centered and skills-based teaching strategies with standardized rubrics and use of professional studios, multimedia rooms, and high-tech sets of equipment.
FEU upgraded the instructional facilities of DepComm amounting to over 30 million pesos to ensure a conducive and competitive learning environment.
DepComm, which used to be the first Department of Speech and Drama in the Philippines, is also one of the few institutions in the country that has institutionalized speech as required course. This requirement provides students the competitive edge in verbal communication and professional presence.
